On February 20th 2017, the international jury of Investments for the Future evaluated the E2S project conducted by a consortium composed of the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour (UPPA), the French National Institute for computer science (Inria) and the French National Intitute for Agricultural Research (INRA).

On the 24th of February, the President of the jury presented the eight selected projects to the steering committee under the chairmanship of the French Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research:
1 IDEX: Lyon/ Saint-Etienne
7 ISITE: Lille, Clermont, Paris-Est, Pau et Pays de l’Adour, Montpellier, Nantes and Cergy.

In Pau on March 20th 2017, the French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve congratulated the UPPA for obtaining the I-SITE label and praised its aspiration to become an international reference in the energy and environment sectors.
