EMAC is located next to Mauléon, in French Basque Country, in South West France.

Since July 2006, EMAC has become even more active in civilian life and in the economic and sustainable development of the Soule territory while making sure to stabilize or even boost employment in harmony with land planning (Natura 2000 zone) So as early as 2007, as part of the project Pays Basque 2020 and in relation to the Communauté de communes Soule-Xiberoa, EMAC participated in an experiment conducted by AFNOR on the reference source SD21000 sustainable development before integrating the aquitaine platform ISO26000.
