RECYCLING RUBBER

Since 2006, as part of its CSR policy and its focus on continuous improvement, EMAC has invested in its own manufacturing-waste reduction as well as in the search for new materials made from rubber scraps of its clients. Some projects were born at EMAC, such as the following:

   > Re-use of unvulcanised rubber (denaturation, recycling, …)

   > Re-use of vulcanised rubber thanks to a grinding method (surfing suit, tyres, wiper blades, …)

   > Generation of a carbon black by pyrolysis of vulcanised rubber aggregates

   > Re-use of carbon black dust in cements
