EDITORIAL

EMAC is an independent French SME specializing in the formulation and the production of both black and colored technical rubber mixtures.

Since its creation in 1950, EMAC has been located next to Mauléon in the heart of French Basque Country.
As a leader in the French rubber compounding industry, EMAC has become a well-known player in various industrial sectors such as the automotive, railroad, building and construction, aeronautic, space, adhesive and sealants, luxury goods, health care and cabling industries.

Since July 2006, we have based our strategy on high added value R&D focusing on nano and biomaterials all within the framework of collaborative programs.
As responsible industrialists, it is our duty to find new sustainable solutions for future generations.

EMAC adapts to global realities, continues its international growth and duly fulfills its responsibilities.

NACOMAT (2007 > 2011)

Objectives:

> Studying the impact of nanoloads (CNT, nanoclay) on ablation resistant properties of an EPDM;

> Working with nanoloads on a secured mixer (HEPA filter);

> Optimizing the dispersion degree of nanoloads to obtain the best physical properties.
